The diesel scandal will not end. For details of the review and nuances, see the article.

It would seem that after the verdict in the United States regarding the obligations of Volkswagen to pay damages and numerous fines, the scandal with diesel engines should have put an end to it. But most likely these problems are only gaining momentum. Recently, Audi was ordered to recall its diesel cars associated with this scandal.

According to preliminary data, in the next six months, Audi will recall about 127 thousand cars around the world, of which 77 thousand are in Germany. As before, the main reason for such a large-scale recall of diesel cars was the software that allows you to control CO2 emissions depending on the terrain and situation. It is worth recalling that at the stand such a diesel car behaves completely inconspicuous and shows the norm for the Euro-6 standard. ... But it is enough to go to the highway, as the program changes its priorities and gives a complete discharge of harmful substances into the atmosphere. Thus, it was difficult to control and predict how well the exhaust gas cleaning system of diesel engines is arranged.

In the near future, the manufacturer will recall all Audi diesel vehicles with a V6 TDI engine. For the most part, these are the A-series and the Q7, Q5 and SQ5 SUVs. The main task will be to replace the old software with the necessary one. The company itself stated that they have been working and cooperating with relevant organizations for a long time and some of the cars have passed the necessary procedure. However, car owners will be asked to retest to ensure that the software for Audi diesel engines is working 100% correctly.
